This policy explains what information the Clear1040 public website collects, why it is collected and how it is handled.

Scope

Clear1040 is a brand operated by VnV Global LLC. This policy presently covers the Clear1040 public website and enquiries submitted through it.

The taxpayer filing portal is not currently available. Additional privacy and consent notices will be provided before tax documents or taxpayer records are collected.

Information collected through the enquiry form

Social Security numbers, ITINs, bank details, tax documents, government identification and payment details must not be entered in the enquiry form.

Where legally required, Clear1040 will obtain the taxpayer's specific consent before tax return information is disclosed to personnel or service providers outside the United States.

Clear1040 does not sell personal information, and does not currently use personal information for targeted advertising.

International processing

Authorised personnel located in India may assist with enquiry review and, after appropriate onboarding and legally required consent, tax preparation support.

Suitable contractual, organisational and security controls will apply to that processing.

Retention

Website enquiry information is generally retained for up to three years from submission. Information may be retained for a longer period where reasonably necessary to comply with law, resolve a dispute, enforce an agreement or protect legal rights.

Retention rules for taxpayer documents, prepared returns, authorisations and filing records will be communicated through the applicable engagement and portal notices before those records are collected.

Privacy choices and requests

An individual may request:

  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of information
  • Information about how their information is processed
  • Withdrawal of enquiry contact consent

Making a request

Requests may be sent to support@clear1040.com. Identity verification may be required, and some information may be retained where legally required.

An individual may request reconsideration of a rejected request by replying to the decision or contacting support@clear1040.com with the subject "Privacy Request Appeal".

Children

This website is intended for adults seeking tax filing services and is not directed to children under 13.

An adult taxpayer may later provide dependent information through an approved service process.

Security

Clear1040 applies reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information submitted through this website.

No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and no certification or specific security standard is claimed.
