Suitability

Finding the right fit

Some situations are straightforward to scope. Others need an individual review before we can confirm what is possible.

Clear1040 may be suitable when you want:

  • Professional assistance
  • A structured digital process
  • Clear information requests
  • An opportunity to review before filing
  • Help with federal and applicable state return preparation

Additional assessment may be required when your return involves:

  • Multiple businesses or entities
  • Complex partnership or corporate interests
  • Trust or estate matters
  • Significant foreign assets or income
  • Specialised information returns
  • Tax notices, examinations or disputes
  • Filing obligations across multiple jurisdictions

These matters are not ruled out. They simply require individual review before scope can be confirmed.

Clear1040 supports federal and applicable state individual tax return preparation. Texas does not impose an individual state income tax, but Texas residents may still have filing obligations in other states depending on their circumstances. Multi-state, nonresident, foreign-income and other complex matters are subject to initial assessment and are not automatically accepted.

Return preparation may involve Clear1040 personnel, authorised support personnel located in India and, where required by the accepted service scope, external CPAs or enrolled agents. The applicable preparation and review arrangements are confirmed as part of the service. Where legally required, Clear1040 will obtain the taxpayer's specific consent before tax return information is disclosed to personnel or service providers outside the United States.

What is not included automatically

The following are not part of return preparation unless specifically agreed:

  • Bookkeeping or preparation of accounting records
  • Business entity tax returns
  • Payroll tax filings
  • Tax representation or dispute services
  • Legal advice
  • Financial or investment advice
  • Tax planning outside the agreed return preparation scope

Fees

Fees depend on the filing situation, forms required and completeness of the information provided. The applicable scope and fee will be communicated before preparation begins.
