Website use

The public website provides general information and an enquiry facility. Submitting an enquiry does not:

• Create a professional engagement
• Confirm acceptance of the return
• Establish a CPA-client, attorney-client or fiduciary relationship
• Authorise filing
• Extend a tax deadline
• Guarantee that Clear1040 will provide services

Service engagement

Services begin only after:

• Clear1040 confirms service suitability
• The scope and fee are communicated
• Required identity and information checks are completed
• The customer accepts the engagement terms
• Required consents and filing authorisations are obtained

Customer responsibilities

• Providing complete and accurate information
• Disclosing relevant income and circumstances
• Responding to questions in a timely manner
• Reviewing the prepared return
• Approving the return before filing
• Retaining supporting records

Filing authorisation

Clear1040 will not file a return merely because these website Terms have been accepted. Separate taxpayer approval and the applicable filing authorisations will be required.

Professional and offshore support

Return preparation may involve Clear1040 personnel, authorised support personnel located in India and, where required by the accepted service scope, external CPAs or enrolled agents. The applicable preparation and review arrangements are confirmed as part of the service.

Any legally required consent for disclosure of tax return information outside the United States will be requested separately and must be completed before the relevant disclosure.

Service scope

Clear1040 supports federal and applicable state individual tax return preparation. Texas does not impose an individual state income tax, but Texas residents may still have filing obligations in other states depending on their circumstances. Multi-state, nonresident, foreign-income and other complex matters are subject to initial assessment and are not automatically accepted.

Fees and payments

Fees depend on the filing situation, forms required and completeness of the information provided. The scope and applicable fee will be communicated before preparation begins.

The website does not currently collect payments. Future payments may be accepted through approved online payment methods or direct bank transfer after scope and fee confirmation.

Cancellation and refunds

A customer may cancel before preparation work begins and request a refund of Clear1040 service fees already paid. Once preparation work has begun, cancellation and refund eligibility will be determined under the engagement terms communicated before payment. Government fees, software charges or third-party charges, if any, will be addressed separately before they are incurred.

Clear1040 does not guarantee:

• A refund
• A particular tax result
• Filing acceptance
• Audit avoidance
• Processing time
• Tax savings
• Eligibility for any deduction or credit
